A startup school and fund, planned for London, for small technical teams at the very start. It has not opened.
Is it open?
No. There is no cohort, no building, and nothing is being raised or invested.
When will it open?
When the facts on the Reality page have changed. There is no date, and there will not be one until it is real.
Why publish a site for something that does not exist?
So the thinking can be read and checked for years before anyone is asked for their time. The Vision page explains it.
What does the name mean?
A whit is the smallest amount; a mont is a mountain. The Name page has the rest.
Who is behind it?
Mian Khubaib, a founder based in London. The site is operated for now by Codedevza AI Ltd.

Can I apply?
No. Nothing is open. You can leave your name and you will be told when that changes.
What does leaving my name mean?
An email when the facts change, and the papers if you asked for them. Nothing else.
Who will Whitmont back?
Small technical teams at the earliest stage, building in the fields on the 10-Year Map. Who We Will Back has the detail.
Solo founders?
No. Three to five is the rule.
Do we need to be in London?
Teams can come from anywhere. Fellows work from the Room, in London, for the cohort.
Teams that have already raised money?
Whitmont is for the very start. A team that has raised a priced round is past it. Small early money from friends or angels is judged case by case.
Is there an age limit?
No.
Do I need to quit my job?
Not to leave your name. Fellows will be full-time in the Room.
What will a Fellow get?
The list is on the Fellowship page: backing, a desk, mentors, the network, the craft, an episode, and the word itself.
How long is a cohort?
The plan is a working year, ending with the finishing fortnight. Not decided.
How many teams in a cohort?
Small. Enough that everyone knows everyone's name.
What is the finishing fortnight?
The last two weeks, spent on the things that end companies. There is no demo day.
What is the badge?
Whitmont Fellow, followed by your cohort number. Carried for life.
About money
How much will Whitmont invest?
Not decided, and not published until it is. Nothing is being offered.
Are you raising a fund?
No. Nothing is being raised or sought.
Can I invest?
No. If you might take part one day, leave your name on the Partners page. That is all it is.
Whose money goes in first?
The founder's. That is a principle, not a plan.
