Vision
Five principles.
The rules Whitmont will be run by. Written before it exists so they cannot be bent to fit later.
01
Small teams. Big companies.
We back the few, and we measure what the few build. A team that fits around one table is the unit, not the exception.
02
The founder pays first.
Whitmont's own money goes in before anyone else is asked for a pound. Nobody is invited to believe in something the person asking has not already paid for.
03
The Room is the product.
Money is easy to copy. The desk, and who sits at the next one, is not. The building matters as much as the backing.
04
We fund finishing.
Starting is cheap. What ends companies is the selling, the operating and the closing, so the programme is built around the last mile, not the first.
05
Generosity as a system.
Ownership given away compounds. Teams that own their work act like owners. Whitmont is that instinct turned outward.
