The School
The Room is the product.
Money is easy to copy. A room where the standard lifts everyone in it is not.
A floor in London.
One floor, fifteen to twenty-five desks. Every desk belongs to a Fellow. Nobody rents space and nobody visits to network.
It should feel like the centre of something: a place where the work at the next desk makes you better at yours.
Not co-working. Not a campus.
- No day passes, no members' lounge, no free coffee as the point.
- No cohort of a hundred. Small enough that everyone knows everyone's name.
- No stage. The Room is for building, not for pitching.
The standard in the room.
The Room works because of who is in it. Teams are chosen for the standard they set, not only for the idea they have. One team that finishes lifts five that are trying to.
